Temperature simulation of oil-immersed transformerbased on fluid-thermal coupling

Abstract The main components of the transformer face overheating and insulation aging caused by electromagnetic losses, which affect their service life. This paper analyzes an oil-immersed with a rated voltage 800kV based on heat transfer fluid dynamics principles. temperature distribution is carried out magnetic-thermal coupling simulation. influence oil flow rate analyzed in thermal field calculation, overall rise insulating obtained. It turned that highest hot spot occurs low-voltage winding, speed between winding fastest.
